What do you enjoy most about your work with TFMS?

I really enjoy helping parties to come to a resolution that keeps conflict low and either ends their court proceeding or keeps them out of court.

How do you feel court-connected services help address access to justice issues?

I think we provide legal information and reality checking that is invaluable to parties who can’t afford a full-time lawyer.  The screening also assists to correct/manage power imbalances, something that isn’t achieved consistently in court, as there is no screening and even experienced family law judges may not see a power imbalance or be able to correct entirely.

What do you do when you are not working as a mediator and/or IRC?

I am a family law lawyer and mediator.
