Our summer student Amelia Charles spent some time reaching out to the agencies and partners we work with as the family law information service provider in Toronto’s family courts. In this post we share information from The Action Group (TAG).

The Action Group on Access to Justice (TAG), in partnership with the Law Society of Ontario and justice sector partners, will host the eighth annual Access to Justice Week (A2J Week) from October 23 to 27.

In addition to a variety of free educational and CPD-accredited opportunities for legal professionals, this year’s A2J Week programming also features free, diverse programming for the broader justice sector and the general public throughout the week.

In celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the Justice Development Goals, this week is an opportunity to reflect on the progress we have made in advancing access to justice and assess the work that lies ahead.

Importantly, this week is an opportunity to create meaningful, public-centred commitments and action plans for the next ten years to continue challenging systemic barriers, to innovate, and to ensure a just, effective and accessible justice system for all.

TAG invites legal professionals from across Canada and members of the public to attend A2J Week.

Visit the TAG website for more information and full details of the week’s programming.
